RUMAH has decided to take a brief break & use the time to look at what/who/why/where/how else can we celebrate and create conversations amongst the Asian Diaspora Community. This break is not forever,RUMAH will be back sooner rather than later. In the meantime take care of yourself and your energy. Celebrate you, your small and big wins everyday.

HELLO, I'M KHAI &
THIS IS RUMAH
I'm an independent creative producer originally from Singapore and currently based in London.
I moved to London in late 2018 to pursue my Masters in Creative Producing at Royal Central, School of Speech & Drama. I mostly produce big ideas to work on shoestring budgets.

I started RUMAH (which means HOME in the malay language) because I don't see myself represented as an Asian creative in The UK today. When we talk about 'representation' I don't just meant a seat on the table, but I'm talking about building a new table together and working collaboratively.
PARTY
During the pandemic
I re-imagined a space for Asian diaspora creatives to integrate & collaborate.
Started in Jan, 2020, Welcome To My Crying Party is a monthly online workshop to check in, learn a new skill & understand how to support your wellbeing.
